Sift together in large bowl:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
Boil together and add to dry ingredients:
2 sticks margarine (1 cup)
1 cup water
5 Tbsp baking cocoa
Add:
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream or butter
1 tsp baking soda
Beat until blended. Pour into greased and floured cookie sheet (17x11). Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
Texas Sheet Cake Icing-
Boil together slightly:
1 stick margarine
5 Tbsp cocoa
6 Tbsp milk
Remove from heat, Add:
1 cup walnuts (optional)
1 tsp vanilla
4 1/4 cup powder sugar
Spread on warm cake
